Guru Nanak Dev Global Academy, Chananke is a private institution managed by G.N.D.G.A society which has revolutionized the art of education in its vicinity, since its establishment in the year 2008.
The school was conceptualized by S. Kuljit Singh Bath a visionary educationist who is wholeheartedly committed to the upliftment. He firmly believes that the huge disparity among the urban, suburban and rural India can only bridged by education of rural children.
Spread over an area of 3 acres, situated at Mehta Road, some 35 kms from Amritsar & 20 kms from Beas the school has an imposing building including an exclusive kindergarten block, encompassed by verdant lawns, complemented by lush green fields on all sides. The school possesses a competitive infrastructure including well-equipped laboratories, well-stocked library, an updated computer lab & smart boards.
In a most encouraging environment, every effort is made to nurture the talent and enhance the skills of young learners. And, for this, an array of co-curricular activities are designed to provide enough learning opportunities to the children which includes debates, declamations, dramatics, drawing competitions. Dance, music and craft are a routine part of the school time table.
Equal attention is paid to the physical needs of the growing children as games and sports form an integral part of the school curriculum. Complete medical check ups are a regular feature.
Apart from just providing bookish knowledge the school endeavours to instil ethics and values in young learners so that they grow up to be socially integrated and spiritual oriented citizens.
And, all this and much more is only possible due to the relentless striving of a most dedicated team of staff members (who daily travel to and fro from Amritsar) headed by a very enterprising Principal- Mrs. Ritu Khaneja who is passionately devoted to the cause of education.
Inspite of the many challenges, due to the rural area, the school strives hard to impart holistic education to the children who are deprived of many urban facilities so that they become competent enough to excel in their chosen fields and hence carve out lives of dignity for themselves in the interest of the society, nation and humanity at large.
